Act Out, Sing and Shout is a comprehensive day camp for children
entering 4-12 grades which focuses on music and drama. The students will learn dramatic presentation, and extensive musical
and vocal skills using a theme based on Native-American Folk Tales. The camp will culminate with two public performances.
Each student will participate directly with researching, writing, singing, acting, set and costume design and playing instruments
for their own accompaniments. ACT OUT, SING & SHOUT will run weekdays from 9 am-12pm July 18-30,2006 The students
will produce: Dream Catcher,a musical production based on Native-American folk tales, music and dance. The public performances
will be Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 at 7:30 pm at historic Memorial Hall in Stafford Hollow.

SUSAN LEAVITT, Director has been teaching, performing and directing
musical activities for more than 35 years. Ms. Leavitt holds degrees in music from Hartt School of Music and UConn. She is
the founder and director of Family Academy of Music, which celebrates family centered music making from birth and up. As
music teacher, Mrs. Leavitt has founded several singing groups. She has taught piano privately for many years and has directed
several high school musicals. She is the musical director of LadySong, a community women’s chorus.
CARLY GUSTAFSON
graduated from Roberts Weslyan College in Rochester, NY where she majored in opera and communication. She has worked with
Act Out, Sing and Shout for two seasons acting as the assistant director, vocal coach, and stage manager. Her acting experience
is broad consequently she is an invaluable resource for all the participants of the camp.
HEIDI KLECAK works as
a artistic consultant/choreographer for the program. She brings many years of experience as teacher, performer and choreographer.
Ms. Klecak is the director of the Stafford Academy of Dance and Citiarts Youth Dance Ensemble. She performs with the Judy
Dworin Dance Ensemble.
